We spent months researching and traveling throughout Southeast Asia, exploring Indonesia's diverse islands, Malaysia's multicultural cities, Singapore's efficiency, the Philippines' warm hospitality, and Thailand's captivating blend of tradition and modernity. Each destination had its appeal, but Hua Hin, Thailand, kept calling us back. This royal resort town on the Gulf of Thailand offered everything we were seeking: world-class healthcare within reach, a welcoming expat community that made integration seamless, stunning beaches for daily walks and relaxation, a cost of living that allowed us to maintain our lifestyle without financial stress, and a peaceful atmosphere that felt perfect for this new chapter of our lives.
After our final scouting trip, we looked at each other and knew—this was home. We officially retired and moved to Hua Hin on January 1, 2026, and haven't looked back since.
